At Saint Anastasios Clinic, we understand that caring for children requires patience, expertise, and compassion. Our paediatric team is committed to providing gentle, comprehensive healthcare for children aged 2 to 16 years as well as for young individuals aged 16 to 25 years, ensuring optimal growth, development and health at every stage.
We believe that medical care should not be a traumatic experience for the child or the parent. The paediatric department is designed to be a friendly place. We try to make sure that the children who visit us actually look forward to seeing their paediatrician.
Dr Christos Economou
Christos Economou is a Consultant Paediatrician and Family Doctor at Saint Anastasios Clinic and also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
Dr Economou qualified from the University of Manchester Medical School (MBChB) and went on to specialize in paediatrics. He was also awarded the Post-graduate diploma in General Practice (University of Surrey) and the PGCert in Healthcare and Biomedical Education (St George’s University of Londοn). He has DCH - Diploma in Child Health London, MRCP (UK) – Member of the Royal College of Physicians και FRCPC (Paeds) - Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
In the past he has also worked in hospitals in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Cyprus Medical Council, the Cyprus Society of Pediatrics and is registered with the General Medical Council (UK). Since 2018, he works for the National Health System (GESY) both as a paediatrician, as well as a general practitioner for adults.
